The Browns have given Josh Gordon a lot of slack, from letting him miss offseason workouts to games due to suspension
The Browns however aren’t giving Gordon any more chances, the organization decided to remove Gordon from the team. They allegedly lost rust in Gordon after he had a commercial shoot at the Browns’ facility. During this shoot he injured his hamstring reportedly and showed up late to practice.
This decision is quite controversial in nature. The Browns decided to trade Gordon to the Patriots, for a 5th round draft pick. The Browns in this deal lost one of their most talented players, and gave one of the top franchises this player. This is still a risk for the Patriots as Josh Gordon has only played in 11 total games since his standout 2013 season.
After trading for WR Josh Gordon and releasing WR Corey Coleman, the Patriots now have made 28 transactions involving a wide receiver since the start of the new league year in March.
