It’s a non-psychoactive that is purely therapeutic.CBD has a subtler effect where you feel more relaxed and less anxious. You’re not “stoned” by any means, just more chill and in control of your thoughts. It takes the edge off your day, but also has countless medicinal benefits.
Until recently, it’s been difficult to fund cannabis research so no one is 100% sure exactly how CBD works physiologically. What we do know is that it plays a regulatory role in many of the body’s systems. It helps our body find balance or homeostasis by working with our nervous, immune and endocrine systems.

Honestly, it’s really a personal preference. The biggest difference between methods is the time of absorption and how long it lasts.
Oils or tinctures are my preferred method. They act quickly and become available in the body in only 30 to 60 minutes. The effects typically last about 3 to 5 hours.
Edibles or CBD in pill form do last longer, about 4 to 6 hours, but take about 2 hours to become available in the body since they’re absorbed gastro-intestinally.
Since gummies fall into the edible category, they share the same timeline as capsules. The biggest difference is that gummies are a good option for people who can’t swallow pills wells. They also may be more quickly absorbed because you chew them before they’re digested. Plus, they taste good!
GIVE IT A TRY
Just know that CBD doesn’t always work instantaneously. You can’t feel it “kick in” right away like THC. Most providers recommend taking it systemically and consistently in the form of an edible or tincture. Try a method out for a week or so before deciding if its right for you.
