These massive film franchises always seem to be leading to the next big exciting thing, and it looks like the trailer for Deadpool 2 is no different. Sure, we have some exciting sights — Julian Dennison from “Hunt for the Wilderpeople” is in this apparently, and maybe Terry Crews is in this as Bishop? We’ll have to wait to find out. The sight giving that’s given ever nerdy news reporter pause, however, is Deadpool referring to the crew around him as X-Force.
X-Force has been, for the longest time, a franchise Fox has been trying to get off the ground. Created by Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza, X-Force is essentially a more violent X-Men, taking on the missions the X-Men never would. It’s a very 90’s idea, but one the fans have been excited to see on the big screen for a long time. To have this film be now released by Disney following the new merger — as it seems like the kind of thing they would never release on their own — makes it all the more exciting.
