At least 30 people were injured when the floor of a fraternity house collapsed at a party at Clemson University, South Carolina.
The Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity’s annual homecoming party was just starting when the floor gave way injuring at least 30. Police said some of the students broke bones as they fell from the floor into the basement of the off-campus apartment complex.
Emergency responders were at the scene in minutes, and 23 people were taken to hospital.
University president Jim Clements tweeted that the “entire student support system will be available for any student impacted”, and thanked the emergency services for their help.
