Organized by Ja Rule, Fyre Festival was branded as the next Coachella. Kendall Jenner, Emily Ratakowski, and Bella Hadid all took to Instagram to promote Fyre Fest. What looked like a jealous inspiring trip in the Bahamas proved in actuality to be a complete disaster for rich millennials who purchased tickets.
Fyre Fest was billed as a multi-day luxury experience in the Bahamas. Ticket prices ranged up to $250,000 and promised music, culture, luxury accommodations, food prepared by celebrity chefs, transportation by charter plane, AND more than $1 million dollars worth of genuine treasure and jewels hidden on the island. For the few unfortunate attendees that made it to the festival before it was shut down, it turned out to be a complete disaster. Closer to “Lord of the Flies” than the promised luxury version of Coachella.

Food prepared by celebrity chefs?
Your luxury accommodations? Disaster Relief tents.
How this all happened? Just take a look at a Fyre Fest planner’s notebook found at the festival. Pretty amazing.
Safe to say, Fyre Fest is a no go for next year.
