I am done with the whole Kardashian clan. But most of all, I am done with Kendall Jenner. Honestly, the other Kardashians don’t bother me that much. They know they’re famous because of Kim’s leaked sex tape, allowing the entire clan to jump onto the fame bandwagon. They call themselves businesswomen, which they most definitely are, while simultaneously joking about their lack of actual talent and skills on their television show ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’.
Kendall Jenner is another story. Yes, she is tall, slim and beautiful. She makes a pretty good model. That’s not what the problem is. The problem with models like Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Georgia May-Jagger is that they refuse to acknowledge their fame had anything to do with their success. Kendall was a reality television show, Gigi was a real housewife’s daughter and Georgia is Mick Jagger’s daughter. Yet when asked about their modeling careers, all models say they have worked just as hard as anyone else in the business to make it to the top. No, this is completely wrong.
When Kendall was only thirteen years old, she was signed to one of the biggest modeling agencies in the world, Wilhelmina Models, without any experience and a portfolio. This is a monumentous task even for a model with years of experience and a packed portfolio. This was all shown on an early episode of ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’. In another episode, Kim is seen teaching Kendall how to pose and model. She can’t help but be annoyed and storm off saying, “I don’t even want to be here.”
Kendall was only twenty years old when she walked in the Victoria’s Secret Runway for the first time.
Unlike other fashion shows, the Victoria’s Secret fashion show features models older than those found on high fashion runways. They are also much more muscular than Kendall. While Kendall said she was bullied behind stage, something that is not acceptable in any situation, you can’t help but sympathize with the girls who came from nothing, worked their whole lives to make it to the most coveted runway in the world.
I do not hate Kendall Jenner and neither should you. If you were the spawn of the rich and famous, it would be hard to turn down a glamorous, lucrative career fed to you by a golden spoon.
