DiNardo explained to the police a horrific account of how he committed the murders of the four men. He stated that he used a backhoe to crush one of them after several rounds of bullets. He tried to burn three of the dead bodies in a metal tank which he later labeled it as a pig roaster. The dead bodies did not burn, and he buried the tank on the 90-acre farm. The remaining body was found in and 12.5-foot-deep hole. The police were able to locate the buried body with the help of DiNardo himself. He directly told them where to find the body.
