If you weren’t already watching one of the biggest award shows in the entertainment industry last night, don’t worry we have the top five things that happened at the Emmys this year.

1. Game of Thrones is Back on Top.

After a year of ineligibility, Game of Thrones is back on top.  HBO’s hit won best drama. This shows fanbase is seriously loyal, with this being Game of Thrones third best-drama series award.

2.  Henry Winkler Wins His First Emmy.

More than 40 years after his first Emmy nomination, he finally took an Emmy home.  He won for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series. This is specifically for his role of Gene Cousineau in “Barry.”

3. A Proposal at the Emmys?

Glenn Weiss, who won an award for directing the Oscars telecast, this year, spent all of his time proposing to his girlfriend Jan Svendsen.  He even used his mother’s ring, who had sadly passed away just two weeks ago. The audience erupted in tears and cheers.

4. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Cleaned House.

The comedy from Amazon earned a total of five awards!  These being best comedy, lead actress, supporting actress, and best writing and directing.  The series, set in the 1950’s, is about a New York housewife, who after getting left by her husband finds that she has a talent for stand up.

5. Michael Douglas’s Hilarious Speech

Although he wasn’t on stage for very long, presenting the award for lead actor in a comedy.  He left us with some hilarious advice for Emmy losers…

“So I’ve won a few awards in my career. But I’ve lost a hell of a lot more. And so I want to give some advice to the losers: Carry that rage. Let it fuel everything you do from this night forward. Know that you were cheated. You were robbed. That’s a fact
